Senior Compliance and Ethics Specialist

 Works under consultative direction toward predetermined goals and objectives. Assignments are usually self-initiated. Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results. Responsible for implementing and monitoring activities relating to standards of conduct, and ethical relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, employees, stakeholders and the communities in which the organization is conducting their business. Participates in the development and monitors the communication of the compliance and ethics standards and procedures to all employees and other agents, through training programs and publications. Provides expert advice and interpretation of the code of compliance and ethics, including the applicability of the organization's policies and programs to specific situations. Works with other subject matter experts to develop the most appropriate methods for maintaining employee awareness of the program and pertinent laws or regulations pertaining to the organization's business. Participates in the implementation and maintenance of the companywide confidential reporting systems ("Helpline") allowing all employees, customers, contractors, and other stakeholders to disclose violations of the corporation's ethical standards, violations of law, or corporate policy. Coordinates casework distribution within the corporate Compliance, Ethics and Business Conduct function for the confidential reporting system and assures that the rules of confidentiality are rigorously observed and assures that appropriate and timely responses from the appropriate personnel are provided for inquiries. Coordinates closely with Internal Auditing, Finance, Human Resources and Legal executives relative to application, interpretation, and enforcement of the code of conduct and the corporation's policies and procedures. Participates as an expert resource in the design and development of employee education and training programs. Participates in preparation of periodic reports to the senior management. Must have thorough knowledge of the corporation's business strategies, policies, standards and practices. May act as a lead person or technical expert on major ethics and compliance projects.

 Qualification Guidelines

 Master's degree and more than 5 years experience in Internal Auditing, Finance, Human Resources or Legal functions or Bachelor's degree and more than 8 years experience in Internal Auditing, Finance, Human Resources or Legal functions.
